Elisa L. Liang, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of China Institute, has served for more than twenty years as a senior executive and lawyer in the non-profit, corporate, and government sectors. Prior to joining China Institute, Ms. Liang was the President of the MCI Foundation, overseeing its award-winning, web-based K-12 education resources and professional development program. She was also the executive in charge of MCI's corporate Community Relations department. Her career encompasses work for Fortune 500 companies, global law firms, and a decade of public service with the U.S. Department of Justice, including as an Associate Deputy Attorney General under then-Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder.
